Why do cats sleep so much?
Cats are originally predatory animals wired to hunt, chase or roam so either it is a jungle or your drawing room jiggling with a new toy a large amount of energy is consumed so to make up for such a fierce predatory lifestyle a cat must spend 15 plus hrs per day sleeping. Cat’s are crepuscular, so they are most active during the twilight hours of dawn and dusk and leaving the majority of their day directed at storing energy and napping.
